We love camping at Spectacle Island. Beautiful views, perfect campfire setup, and lovely swimming, easy in and out. The addition of the porta-potty at the boat ramp was welcome!
The site was easy to get to and very clean. Perfect for swimming and fishing !
Overall, this campsite offers a beautiful and clean environment with easy access for kayakers and plenty of opportunities for swimming and fishing. Many campers appreciate the stunning views and fun amenities like rope swings, although some express concern about the declining vegetation and busy lake conditions. While the site is generally well-maintained, the access for kayaks could be improved, and there may be some overcrowding during peak times. Despite these issues, the campsite remains a favorite for its charm and natural beauty.
