It's in a semi-rural area a mile from downtown. The Host has an acre or two of flat, usable space under the open pine/fir/oak woods behind her house. A bit snug turning in to the driveway but not too difficult, then lots of room to turn around and park. The Host's house is separated by a tall fence so there's adequate privacy. Neighbors around but not immediately close and we did not feel hemmed in. Elizabeth is responsive and generous. The place is a 7 minute drive from downtown Grass Valley and 15 from Nevada City. This place is a great find for being so near to both town and country. Pay close attention to the directions as we first turned down the wrong driveway and had to hack out onto the street before turning in the correct one.
