We spent one night at Star Party. 4WD is required due primarily to fairly deep sand and gravel. Great little shade shelter and picnic table. Super isolated spot. You can hear the road but just barely.
A group of 6 of us camped at Star Party and it was absolutely awesome! The location is perfect for star gazing and I would highly recommend this location, especially for a group!
Rio Bravo offers campers a stunning natural experience with beautiful sunrises, sunsets, and breathtaking starry skies. The campsites are clean and well-maintained, making it a perfect spot for both solitude and group gatherings. However, access can be challenging due to deep sand and gravel, and some campers noted minor noise from a nearby road. Overall, it's a fantastic choice for those seeking a remote getaway near Big Bend Ranch State Park.
