We had great communication from Anna beforehand, especially with directions and pothole warnings (very useful) and were greeted warmly with a smile. I'd mentioned it was my birthday and she'd left a card and chocolates too - above and beyond! She'd also had the woodburner going all day (it was snowy that morning) so it was cosy on arrival. After that, we were left to our own devices and given a mobile number should we need anything and so it felt nicely private and laid back. \n\nIt was a pretty 20min walk through woods (hilly for those who aren't into hills) to Hartland village for a drink at one of the 3 pubs and also the perfect spot for doing a big loop down to the spectacular coast and back. The whole stay was very pleasant and easy.
