# Pinewood Holiday Park

> Human version: http://ssr-app-zpimxgrglq-uc.a.run.app/listings/campgrounds/pinewood-holiday-park-wells-next-the-sea-norfolk

We are a family run business and we pride ourselves on offering impeccable customer service\. We have many, many customers who return year after year \- but every customer, whether new or old, will always be greeted with a big Yorkshire smile\!We have 7 acres of land at Pinewood; consisting of a caravan area with 5 electric hook up pitches on hard standings, a tenting area with 14 pitches all with electric, a Western themed Tipi campround, a separate field, and a woodland area\. We also have a very modern, clean, and spacious toilet and shower block\.Pinewood is split into 3 separate areas\.The touring caravan area has 5 caravan/camping pitches with metered electric hook ups and hard standings\. The second area is our tenting field, which has 14 electric hook ups and 12 single and 2 double pitches\.The third area is a Western themed campground with a mix of authentic Indian Tipis, modern Tipis, Western Wagons and Cowboy Camping Cabins\.The toilet blocks, drinking water points, bin store, recycling centre, waste water and chemical waste disposal points are all centrally located for your convenience\. We are dog friendly\!Well behaved dogs are also very welcome in both your own tent or caravan but also in our tipi tents and Cowboy Camping Shacks; we do not charge any extra, but we do ask that they are kept on a lead at all times, and walked off site \- next to our site is a brilliant dog walking path, with open countryside, and stunning views\. Our Tenting FieldOur tenting field is open for everyone to enjoy, and has 14 metered electric hook up points\. In order to keep noise levels fairly low we try to keep our tent numbers to around 14\. There are stunning views over The Yorkshire Wolds to be enjoyed\.Our tent pitches can only accommodate standard 3\-4 man tents \(2\.5m x 3\.5m maximum size\) with a maximum of 4 people per tent\. If your group consists of more than 4 people or you have a larger tent, then you will need to book 2 pitches\. Please inform us of numbers and tent size at the time of booking, and call us if there are any changes, to avoid disappointment on arrival\. We do not want to over crowd out tenting field and we will NOT allow tents to be too close or for the guy ropes to cross over each other \(we are required to enforce this by law, and while many sites do not \- we do \- this is mainly a safety issue but also for noise levels\)\.Cars can be parked next to each each, but we do not allow vans \(of any size\), and small camper vans, or folding campers on the field \(even if these are not being used for sleeping in\), so please only book a tent pitch if you will be travelling in a car, as we do not want to have to refuse you on arrival because you have travelled in a camper or van\.TipisA fun, unique and environmentally friendly way to spend time away from the hustle and bustle and stresses of every day life\. Wake up to the birds singing, drift off to the sound of the owls, and just simply enjoy the mixture of old fashioned camping in a truly beautiful place, while being at home with nature\. You'll go home feeling re\-charged and re\-freshed\.Our modern tipis sleep up to 5 people \- 2 adults and 3 children and are a lovely cosy place to spend time as a couple or a family\. Young and old \(and all those in between\!\), will have an extraordinary experience\.All of our tipis are on wooden decks, and have electric heaters and most are furnished with futons and are surprisingly spacious\. As they are raised off the ground, they are very clean and homely\. All you really need to bring are your sleeping bags and pillows, a towel/toiletries, a torch, and any food and drinks you would like, and your sense of adventure\! You'll have a real fun time\!Cowboy Camping ShacksThe Cowboy Camping Shacks are ideal for all year round camping\. They have the same basic furnishings as our Tipis \- a double and 2 single cube chair beds, a small barrel table, a small storage box and an electric heater, a table lamp and socket \(metered\)\. They are double glazed and insulated and are very cosy\. They also have a large covered veranda, with a rocking chair and table and stools; which is perfect for enjoying a glass of wine while watching the sun set\. These camping shacks are an ideal addition to our Cowboy and Indian themed area\. A family of up to 2 adults and 3 children can fit in these, although beds are provided for 4 guests, and prices are based on a family of 4\. There is room to bring a travel cot\. Families with younger children benefit from lockable doors and a slightly quieter position on site\.Woody's Western WagonsThese brand new wagons are the first of their kind in the UK\. They fit in perfectly with the Wild West theme and are great fun and unique\. They have been hand crafted especially for Pinewood, and are a fully enclosed wooden structure, with a canvas cover over the roof to resemble an old Wild West 'chuck wagon'\. They are fully insulated so are perfect for all year round use\. While they do have the old Wild West Wagon look; they come complete with some modern day comforts like 2 fixed single beds, 1 fixed double bed, lights, a mini fridge and microwave and kettle and a toaster, as well as a picnic bench outside and a small covered porch area\. Woody's Western Wagons also have metered electric like all the other accommodation\. sorry; but dogs are not allowed in the Wagons\.Your own bedding and cooking and eating items are required in all the accommodation\. There are plenty of places nearby to eat, if you do not want to cook\!Weddings & Group HireIf you are searching for the ultimate wedding reception with a difference \- then look no further\! We have a number of weddings already booked in this year \- for couples wanting an alternative or 'eco' wedding \- or maybe just somewhere unusual or more memorable\.Your wedding would be a DIY wedding \- with you taking control on how you wanted your day to be\. You would have access to the whole site; tenting field, caravanning area, and all the Tipis, aswell as an additional field which could be used in a number of ways; car parking, play field for the children \(young & old\!\!\), maybe to put up a bouncy castle or a marquee \- the choice would be yours\.As far as food and entertainment \- again it is up to you; your own band or disco, a BBQ, roasting marshmallows around a camp fire, a hog roast or outside caterers\.Other events at Pinewood are also proving very popular \- family reunions, special Birthday weekends, charity events, staff weekends away and team building events\.LocationWe are extremely lucky to live in Scarborough, and we are sure you will enjoy the many attractions that Scarborough has to offer, and also places of interest near by \(we are of course slightly biased, as we have lived here all our lives\!\)Scarborough has 2 wonderful beaches, divided by the castle headland, with the stunning castle looking down onto them\. There's fun to be had by all on the south beach with it's many amusement arcades, shops and of course the traditional fish and chips restaurants, and the donkey rides\. You can have a trip on a pirate ship or take to the waves in a speed boat\.The north bay is the quieter beach, but you can still have fun making sand castles, take a ride on the miniture railway, and enjoy an ice\-cream\. If it's raining there's also the indoor swimming pool or the cinema\. Peasholm Park is a beautiful attraction; where you can feed the ducks, ride a peddle boat swan, have a round of pitch and putt, or watch the famous miniture war ships battle\. The Sealife Centre is a great place to visit, and there's plenty of shops and entertainment\.DirectionsFrom the A64: after Staxton roundabout, approx 3 miles from Scarborough,at the next roundabout take the 1st exit \(Seamer, Ayton\) onto Main Street, Seamer\. At the next roundabout, take the 1st exit,\(straight on\)\. Take the first right onto Irton Moor Lane\. Carry on and at the top of the road, turn right\. Carry on up the hill for a couple of minutes only, and as you see the speed limit change to 40 MPH, we are immediately there on your left\.If you miss the turning, don't worry, there's a round about half a mile down the road \- just go round the roundabout and back up the hill\!IF YOU ARE USING SAT NAV \- once on the A170, and only 1/5 mile away, it will tell you to take the next turning up a small road sign posted Irton Mount\. \(This is a small farm track with a farm with a small camping and caravanning site there \- this is not us\)\. Carry on up the main road \(up hill\) and we are on your next left after this turning\.WE ARE DIRECTLY OFF THE MAIN ROAD \- so if you are not turning into Pinewood's driveway \- then you are making a wrong turn\.From A165 \(Filey\): turn left as A1039/King Hill\. Continue to follow A1039\. At the next roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto A64\. Then follow directions as above\.
