stayed here for the weekend, and the hosts were awesome! Coming into the property, we were greeted at the entrance and led to the site. They gave us supplies to make smores and a bundle of firewood to stay warm! We stayed at Vista and the views of the night sky were amazing. Even offered us a tour of the property since we were the only ones who booked that weekend. Definitely recommend to those who want remote, primitive sites. Would definitely stay here again 10/10. A friendly family to greet me, a private and quiet spot on the hill, and beautiful hill country scenery full of fields of colorful wildflowers. There is a sand tent pad which is honestly a luxury compared to our state parks. They also have some large rocks you can use as anchors, if necessary. It’s clear they want their campers to have a good and comfortable experience. The clouds didn’t cooperate but it’s plenty dark for great stargazing and while there is enough small trees for shade in the hot afternoon sun they won’t block your view of the stars. I will be keeping this place on my list for camping and dark sky stargazing. We stayed at the Hill Top spot and the views were amazing, the access to the Hill Top site maybe a little steep for some but that's how we personally like it. The site is very private and quiet. The site had a tent pad, picnic table, and fire ring. We stayed in a roof top tent and the site was great for it as well. The hosts were both so very helpful and accommodating, even loaning us their telescope to see the stars. We defiantly recommend to others and will be back ourselves.
