One of the most scenic views in all of the Hill Country is a stretch of FM 32 nicknamed "The Devil's Backbone" because of its winding curves and spectacular views\. Gary & Sherry were frequent visitors to the area, and always dreamed of retiring in the Hill Country\. When a ranch came up for sale in this choice spot, we bought the property and began building\! What makes our cottages different? The cottages are architecturally unique, a mixture of old and new with a focus on beautiful architectural pieces from the past\. Sherry's passion is restoring historic structures, including a 100\-year\-old office building in Downtown Dallas and a home in the State\-Thomas Historic district that dated back to the 1880s\. You'll pass by an old blue Victorian house at the entrance on FM 32, which we moved from Austin in 2016 and have leased for to a couple who sells antiques\.
