Gerry made us feel right at home and seemed like a cool guy. Our site had water access for our canoe and a dock for fishing with the kids. The view was beautiful, overlooking the conjunction of 2 rivers, filled with wildlife. The fairy lights in the trees gave a magical touch as the sound of the river lulled us to sleep. The kids enjoyed it so much they didn't want to leave. The Swedish fire log was a unique touch we haven't seen at other hipcamps. I would highly recommend and we will return. The river brought an abundance of wildlife to watch and hear day and night. The sound of the creek made for an unmatched tranquility.\n\nGerry is a very dedicated host who strives to make sure all guests are satisfied and have what they need. \n\nThe main campsites have various qualities, some along the river or creek, or nestled into the woods. There is a decent amount of road noise from the road/bridge close by, but is only noticeable when louder vehicles drive past. \n\nWe got a tour of the other campsites as well, though the sites are relatively far from the parking spot, with a rougher hike into the sites. \n\nGerry offers a great deal for firewood, and is always happy to address any questions. \n\nIt is in an ideal location with some wonderful qualities! Will definitely book again in the future. The sites are built right into the bedrock and some are tucked right down by the river, with private docks you can launch a canoe or paddleboard from. The river views are stunning, especially at sunset.\n\nAt night, the whole place feels like a forest festival with fairy lights strung through the trees and campfires going strong. For 27 bucks, they deliver as much firewood as you want right to your site — worth it. We burned all night and never ran out.\n\nIt’s not luxury camping — the outhouse is basic and you might be within earshot of someone’s drinking game while you’re in there, but honestly? That’s part of the charm. It feels real. There’s something hilarious and freeing about it.\n\nThe owner clearly put thought and personality into the place — there are little weird details everywhere, like owl statues and oddball decorations in the trees. It’s got soul, not polish.\n\nIf you’re into raw nature with character, and you don’t mind getting a little dirty, this place is a gem.
