crazy how secluded we felt just a 10 minute drive from downtown eureka springs. we’d never been before and loved exploring the town and surrounding woods. we had an amazing time! \n\nI want to share a few tips for getting the best experience out of this campsite:\n- take the directions to hyde hollow cabin! the site is a quick 5 minute walk from the cabin, easy to load your stuff if you’re physically capable, no giant rocky hills \n- if it rains on you there’s a rocky overhang to the right of the campsite as you’re walking up to it, take cover under there! stays bone dry and there’s a little fire pit for you\n- you won’t get firewood if you pay for it, but the people at hyde hollow cabin were happy to share some of theirs\n- ticks are HORRIBLE, but what would you expect in the arkansas woods! You walk passed the spring to get to the site. It was a beautiful spot to enjoy, as the heat this weekend was pretty intense. \nShe encouraged us to venture around and that we did. We loved trekking under the tall tree and poking around the ground at the rocks and creatures. \nIt’s about a 6/8 minute drive to the main streets of Eureka. Perfect for going there for the day and an easy drive back to the quiet and a fire at night. \nIt was so peaceful and lush out there. Have a plan in case you can’t get ahold of her when you arrive. You’ll want to search for Hyde hollow road in your GPS. The 900 address on the site took us to another person’s private property which was an awkward encounter. The fire wood is what you can find on sight no bundles. Lastly Eureka Springs is about a mile as the crow flies. Would take hours to walk there and back with the mountain terrain. Downtown is cool but parking is hard to find. " } ] }
