About this campground
Mjonøy Camping is idyllically located in Vinje, along the E134 in Telemark, and is a perfect stopover for those who want to combine nature experiences with local food and culture. Here you can enjoy a living farmyard with a wood-fired bakery, café and farm food outlet, as well as a small, cozy campsite at the top of the area. During the summer season, the café is open every day, and tempts with homemade food made with local ingredients from Telemark, including their popular Mjonøyburger. The campsite is surrounded by beautiful rivers – Klevastøylåi and Smørkleppåi – which flow calmly past and provide a peaceful atmosphere in which you can really relax.

Here you also have access to shared sanitary facilities with showers, and the place gives the feeling of being on a traditional farm, in the middle of Norwegian nature. If you want a little more comfortable accommodation, Mjonøy has several unique log cabins for rent. Many of the cabins are restored log buildings from local farms in West Telemark and have a charming, historical feel. Mjonøy offers more than just accommodation – here you can visit the stone oven bakery, help yourself to freshly baked skilling buns or fresh bread, and experience local art exhibitions and craft shops. This makes the place a pleasant stop for both foodie travelers and families who want an authentic and eventful experience in the heart of Telemark.
