A spacious site, Minehead has 60 pitches including some serviced pitches and good central site facilities\.There are lovely walks from the site including a lovely wooded walk into Minehead centre\. Minehead is also the starting point for the South West Coast Path, a long\-distance trail that follows the coast to Poole\. The town is also the terminus of the West Somerset Steam Railway, which travels through 20 miles of stunning coastal and countryside scenery\.South of the campsite, Wimbleball Reservoir offers sailing, canoeing and wind surfing – launch your own craft or hire from the lake’s activity centre\. Anglers have been known to catch rainbow trout here\. You can fish from the banks or hire a boat\. There is nine\-mile walking and cycling track around the lake too\.To find out more about Exmoor National Park, there’s a visitor centre at Dunster\.
