We were in site #1. The views are absolutely spectacular! It is pretty rustic and the bathrooms need upgrading. That is the only reason I am giving it 4 stars. Everyone was nice and if you are lucky (we weren't) you can see the elk pass through. The campground is off of the Blue Ridge Parkway. We camped at site 11 and it was very spacious and private. Unfortunately it didn't have the spectacular views. \n\nThe campsites have a picnic bench and a fire pit.\n\nThere is no electricity, but good cell service and hot water in the showers. The whole bathhouse would need an update but it was nothing that bothered us. Near our campsite was an outhouse with 2 flushing toilets. There are sinks outside to wash your hands or dishes. \n\nThe campground was very quiet and everybody was super friendly and helpful. \n\nThere is a pretty high chance that you see some elk walking through the campground. It was very impressive.\n\nThere are several hiking trails nearby, for example the Mountain to the Sea Trail. \n\nIf you forgot something, it is about a 15 min drive to Maggie Valley.
