Pitches were very large compared to other sites we have visited in the area and limited pitches makes it the perfect environment for couples, families or a group of friends. \n\nActually very disappointed we didn’t book a second night as it was so peaceful and plots are in the shade, providing a nice cool wake up in the morning! Not sure if it was a windy night but the trees provided a lot of shade and cooling in this hot weather. \n\nLime kiln, large lake and gorgeous moors only a few steps from your pitch. Rivers, steams and bridges all over to explore if you want to be active. \n\nLake is brown and not easily accessible as pictures make you believe, gorgeous nonetheless but sought out the spot with the idea of paddleboarding and soon realised it would be a lot of effort to try and get in the lake so we avoided that. However the close streams provided refreshing cool clean water :) \n\nFire pits provided on each plot and enough space that you don’t feel like you’re encroaching on others space. \n\nOnly downside is it’s a public bridleway, meaning we were stopped by many walkers passing to enquire about how they book the spots! This place is such a gem you almost don’t want people to know! ;) \n\nThanks again we will definitely be back!
