# Marcahuasi Trailhead Camp

> Human version: https://campertunity.com/listings/campgrounds/marcahuasi-trailhead-camp-wild-camping-peru

The quietest overnight place we have had in Peru so far\. It is about a 30 min hike up to the ruins from the parking area\. If you have a tent, it is an awesome place to camp if you pack your stuff up the trail\. We found a level spot by some big rocks and camped at the parking area\. Beware, it is a long 3 hour drive up a crazy, scary road from the pavement\. Long wheel base vehicles will have a very difficult, or even impossible time trying to make some of the switchbacks\. No facilities at all\.
