We camped near the homestead which is a huge open area dotted with big shady trees and a creek runs around the perimeter, 4 amenities blocks which are pretty rustic but everything you need. There is a bar and restaurant and basic groceries. You can camp out on the million acres or just day trip which we did. The staff are great and will help you decide where to visit depending on the time you have. Highly recommended"
