Children are welcome at Little Meadow and we have a quiet, traffic free, wooded play area\.We do also welcome well\-behaved dogs and there is a large dog run field on site\.A small shop on site offers freshly baked croissants, pain au chocolat and baguettes daily, local bacon eggs, milk and other basic groceries, and WiFi is also available on site\.Enjoy camping in North Devon at Little Meadow Campsite…Our Campsite in North DevonTent Pitches and Touring Caravan SitesThere are 50 generous sized pitches \(some of these we offer as seasonal pitches for the summer\) which are individually marked with the majority offering electric\-hook\-up\. Some of the pitches are on small plateaux and there is a larger plateaux for bigger tents\.During the school summer holidays we run a Sat \- Sat booking on the main site, but we open up the hayfield to allow an extra 8 spaces for tents wanting shorter breaks \(these do not have electric hookup and it is a gentle slope\)\. The main site is full until 16 August with limited availability from then on \(Sat \- Sat bookings only until 30 August\)\. The hayfield pitches can be booked for short breaks where available \- the hayfield is full for the bank holiday weekend but availability from 26 August\.On arrival please book in at the shop or up at the farmhouse before you pitch so that we can show you the site and its amenities\.Keeping the Site Clean and TidyThere are three drinking water points around the site and the recycling and rubbish point is situated on the shower block level\. We do ask that everyone recycles their rubbish using the well\-marked recycling bins – please make sure that all your party including children know what to do with their rubbish\.Shower BlocksThe clean, modern shower block has free hot showers\. The washing up area is situated in the shower block and is complete with stunning views to make the washing up more enjoyable\!Behind the washing up area is the laundry room \(tokens can be bought in the shop for the washing machine\) and also in here you will find all the tourist information leaflets and the ice\-pack freezer\. We do a free ice\-pack service \(no exchange though\) but we do ask that you if you use this freezer that you donate money to the lifeboat charity \(boxes situated in the shop\)\. Bear in mind that we used to charge 20p per ice pack frozen when you donate\.There is a chemical waste toilet, which is situated next to the shower block and recycling point\.Our ShopOur shop stocks a range of local products including milk, bacon, eggs, homemade cakes, meat, baker’s bread and other groceries\. Opening times vary depending on the time of year so please ask when you arrive\.There is an outside table tennis table for use by all campers, and bats and balls can be purchased in the shop\.Dog Friendly CampsiteWell\-behaved dogs are welcome on the site \- we ask that they are kept on a lead at all times and are not taken into the shop, shower block or children’s play area\. There is a large dog\-run field where they can run off\-lead – please make sure that you clear up after them\.Children’s Play AreaThe play area is a quiet, wooded, traffic free site where children can play on the swings, roundabout and big net\. The play area can be found on the same level as the shower block \- we do ask that children are supervised in and around the shower block and that all children are playing back at their own pitches by 9pm\. DirectionsSome visitors to Little Meadow using their Sat Nav to locate us have experienced very long journeys and unsuitable roads\. We do advise that you follow the route below to avoid this\. Please also note the directions for approaching our entrance \- particularly if you are towing a caravan or trailer with you\.Little Meadow is situated between Ilfracombe and Combe Martin\. Leave the M5 at Junction 27, take A361 towards Barnstaple\. Just past the South Molton turn off, turn right to Allercross roundabout \(signposted Blackmoor Gate, Combe Martin\)\. Drive through Combe Martin and continue past Watermouth Castle\. We are situated approximately 500 yards past the castle on the left\. This journey will take youapproximately 1 hour from the M5 \(junction 27\)\. It is strongly requested that all incoming caravans approach Little Meadow from Ilfracombe direction driving East to avoid sharp turn in\.
