It was so peaceful, cool by the early evening and in the morning- rather hot during the day but the pub in Lakeland is not too far away and fun to visit! Also not too far from Cooktown and the famous Lions Den Hotel, a good spot to stay away from the crowds and still heaps to explore. Facilities are clean and comfortable, host is super friendly.
