There are some locations where you can see for miles. It is most certainly as advertised. Bonuses were that there was an acoustic guitar on the wall, and a full kitchen with an oven, a range, and a fridge (no freezer). It had all the pots and pans and things you would need for coffee, a French press and pour over. No coffee grinder or filters though. The one downside was that during the day there were quite a few yellow jackets, and some even got in the cabin via holes in the screen doors. We weren’t able to shower because the yellow jacket activity was quite strong, so we did sponge baths in the sink. The host has traps up for them but they are still numerous. We relaxed inside during the day and had no issue with it, but it wouldn’t be suitable to let kids outside to play. It’s got a lot of character and it’s cozy and comes well equipped with what you need to hunker down for a few days. We didn’t use the outdoor shower but there was plenty of water if we wanted to. They have pillows and comforters so all you need are sheets. Porta potty was clean and was a nice add. I would suggest you bring a headlamp for those late night needs although the moon was so beautiful and bright this time of year.
