ココペリランド

This is a free campground at Kaiyodai Observatory in Hokkaido, suitable for car camping. Access to the campsite from the parking lot is via stairs, leading to an observatory building. Toilets are located in a clean, well-maintained brown building in the parking lot, including Western-style facilities. While there are also toilets inside the observatory, they are unavailable after closing hours, so campers use the parking lot facilities. A cooking area is available at the campsite (up the stairs), but a faucet is also located outside the parking lot toilets. The observatory offers great views, though sometimes visibility can be limited by fog. The proximity of toilets and a flat parking area make it convenient for car camping.
