Ballandean winery and the Ballandean pub is also close, it serves affordable and wholesome dinners and there is a shop and a cafe as well as a restaurant there\. The town of Jennings is a small, quirky town close to the border, with a population of about 150\. Jennings is in two time zones, both QLD and NSW\! There are many popular wineries in the region, three of which have wonderful restaurant meals\. 13 minutes drive going south, is the much\-loved federation town of Tenterfield \- with appealing cafes, clothes shops, country outfitters, the famous Tenterfield Saddlery and a cinema which seats about 50, a railway museum, a stylish yet friendly Commercial Hotel for eating out and a historic café where federation was called into being by Henry Parkes\.
