About this space
We have traced this farm's history back to the 1750's when a mill was built on Reed Creek. There is a log home that we know that was built in 1840 still on the premises. The white farm house across from the camp sites was built in 1877. The fish hatchery that is still in operation today was built by the Federal Government in 1923. Very quiet and pastoral. The campsite IS between a patio and a stream, and no one is around. The bird sounds when I woke up in my tent were amazing.
We had a great visit. One of our favorite parts is the wildlife- blue herons, deer, birds, and fish. Very peaceful spot. We can’t wait to go back!
