booked a camping spot at the Heart Center and Liz was an amazing host. We have a very large tent that wouldn’t have fit one of her typical camping spots and she accommodated us with quite a large space which worked out perfectly. The nights we stayed got around 22 F and even though we managed to keep warm with our set up, Liz was kind enough to offer us an upgrade in one of her yurts. \n\nEach morning, Liz provided coffee, tea, and breakfast snacks to everyone who was a guest and has a few warm showers in the gym that’s on her property. Liz also has an organic garden, a spa, and meditation/prayer room that is available for guests to use. If you talk to her about the history of the Heart Center, you’ll be amazed at what she’s done to make it what it is. It’s really an incredible place and she’s so sweet!! \n\nMy husband (and two dogs) and I will definitely be back to stay and help her out. This is certainly a place to check out that you don’t want to miss! We tent-camped, and had a really nice, peaceful site, with the perfect amount of space to park our car and set up all of our stuff. The sites are a bit further away from each other than what you may experience at an RV campsite, and the surrounding trees really helped make our site feel more private. We even had a little tiny stream behind our site that we could hear at night while we slept. It is heavily wooded though, so don't forget bug-repellent!\n\nI loved the accommodations provided here - there was a single toilet building (with a composting toilet) very close to our site (shared with surrounding yurts and campsites), along with access to a water spigot. A short walk up the hill lead to the communal buildings where there is a gymnasium with large restroom areas and hot showers (very clean and nicely kept up), a dining hall type building (where we were able to access wi-fi and could hang out with other guests), and the office building and space for morning yoga and meditation. Regrettably I wasn't able to participate in the morning yoga or meditation, but hope to if we visit again. There are some nice communal outdoor spaces as well, set up for gathering with others staying there, or just having more space to be out in nature. Liz was an amazing host, and helped make our stay perfect.
