You really have everything there you need except a torch and a good pair of wellies. The location of the hut really makes the place special. You can walk up to Minton and then up Minton Hill as far as you like for amazing views of the Long Mynd. In the evening, we set our chairs out in the field and enjoyed drinks and dinner admiring the view. Tip: Bring lots of led lights and glow sticks etc. for a cozy and relaxing evening atmosphere because it gets very dark out there! There are some solar lights at the hut but they didn’t stay on long and the lanterns provided are lovely but just not very bright. Watch for stinging nettles, we cut some of them away around the steps and picnic table area. The bed is super cozy and you can just fall asleep listening to the sheep and the owls.
