The Dyfi Osprey official viewing point is only 15 minutes' drive away and you can visit the hide used in the BBC Spring Watch series\.The campsite is popular with walkers, cyclists and families\. The site affords elevated views across the beautiful unspoilt Dyfi Valley, woodland, and nearby riverside walks, The campsite was voted in the top five by the children in the book, 'Cool Camping Kids' \. Young children can enjoy a pony ride by the farmhouse in the evenings and may help feed the young lambs during the lambing season\. Campfires are allowed\.Gwerniago farm is situated 3 miles from Machynlleth, a mediaeval historic market town\(street market on Wednesday\)\.The harbour village of Aberdyfi is a 15 minutes' drive away and offers blue flag beaches and sand dunes, and of course the famous golf links course\. The internationally famous Centre for Alternative Technology is a 10 minutes' drive away and offers fascinating customer participation projects and a vehicular lift\.Borth is approximately 20 minutes' drive and Aberystwyth approximately 35 minutes\.The village of Pennal is within easy walking distance, and offers a grocery/newsagents shop and the local hostelry Glan Yr Afon/Riverside offers good food lunchtimes and evenings and a range of national and local Welsh ales and spirits\. The block consists of four individual toilets, two male and two female and a fully accessible disabled shower and toilet room at the rear of the building\. At the front of the building there are separate male and female shower facilities, providing two cubicles in each, with washbasin facilities\. In the centre of the building there is a family room with bath and overhead shower, toilet and washbasin, which is particularly suitable for use with young children who need to be supervised\. Situated at the side of the building is a small kitchen with a washing up sink, fridge and freezer and power points for charging phones etc\. Outside, under cover, there are two sinks with hot water for washing dishes\. The hot water is heated by solar panels, backed up by electricity\. There is no extra charge for these facilities\.Static Caravan to rentGwerniago Farm holiday caravan is located next to the campsite in a quiet location within its own separate area offering unrestricted views across the open countryside\.The caravan accommodates up to six people, maximum four adults\.It has three bedrooms, one double and two twins\. One twin is suitable to convert to a double\. There is a shower and wash room and a separate toilet and basin\. The beds will be made up ready for use as required\.The living area is spacious with a TV and a DVD player a selection of DVDs are provided\), with a separate area for dining\.The kitchen is equipped with a gas oven and hob, microwave oven and fridge, toaster and kettle\. Crockery, cooking pots, cutlery and various utensils are provided\.Outside the caravan there is a picnic area with picnic bench and private parking space for one car adjacent to the caravan\. Additional parking is available nearby\.As the caravan is located on a fully working farm, we request that all children be closely supervised by a responsible adult when outside the caravan\. Children are welcome to play on the camping field\.The rental includes all electricity and gas\. Bed linen is provided\. We do permit pets but they must not be allowed in the bedrooms at any time and all dogs must be kept on a lead when outside\. Smoking is not permitted in the caravan at any time\.Weekly booking preferred, Saturday to Saturday, but bookings per night will be considered during low season or at the discretion of the proprietors\.DirectionsGwerniago farm has a large camping area of approximately five acres, suitable for thirty pitches\.Facilities include toilets and showers, hair dryers, electrical hook\-ups, use of a fridge and freezer and power points for charging phones etc\. A chemical disposal point, and sinks for washing dishes\. Campfires are allowed and wood can be purchased on site\.The campsite is situated 3 miles from Machynlleth on the A493 to Aberdyfi\. The nearest beach is a fifteen minutes drive\. A ten minutes walk to the village shop and hotel which is renowned for good food\.The farm has a wide variety of animals including cows, sheep, hens, ducks, horses and pony rides can be arranged for the younger children\.
