The downside is that it is a farm and there can be a very strong odor of livestock combined with the constant sound of the river at Walnut Grove site (the other sites may not have the river sound). The other challenge was finding a level spot that was not flooded (in fairness we had an exceptional downpour all morning). The eggs were delicious. \n\nThings to make note of before booking: you should have an all wheel drive car to get across the little stream and drive down the long grass road. We slid around in our Outback so I can imagine a front wheel drive car would really struggle. The platform will not fit a family tent or a standard size canopy. The rest of the site is not super level. If you have an all wheel drive car and a small tent, you’re good to go.
