I came to Hawaii to tent camp off the beaten path with a few amenities, and this site was Exactly what I was looking for! It's an off the grid homestead being improved day by day. It has a flushing toilet, hot running water at the sink and a Hot shower. There are cooking utensils and (pots/pans) available for guest usage. There is a large solar power station for lighting and also charging cords for charging your phone, cameras, laptops and whatever else needs some juice! There is also a nice lava rock fire pit with chairs around it for just relaxing and looking at the Amazing starry sky! Close to everything on the south end it's a short 66 miles to either Hilo or Kailua Kona. Josh was very knowledgeableabout plants and places to go, and actually took a couple days off work to take me to Southpoint and the Green sands Beach, also volcanoes national Park and the waterfalls around the Hilo! It is also a very short distance to the Famous Punalu'u bakery!
