      "reviewBody": "We stayed for 2 nights with our young children, who loved it! Lovely spot and exactly as described.\r\n- Cash only, obviously. Honour box system to buy wood, kindling, and rent firepits.\r\n- One star off because there is no rubbish disposal - this is clearly stated on the website but is quite easy to remedy and would save us having to cart our rubbish home on our laps in a full car. Also reduces the risk that irresponsible campers will fly tip on their way out.\r\n- Shower was great, toilets were fine.\r\n- Loads of space\r\n- Beautiful starscape on a clear night\r\n- Good pub and shop options in Robertsbridge nearby\r\n\r\nTo take it up a level add rubbish disposal, a small convenience shop, and more privacy for the showers. I didn't mind but my wife wasn't comfortable with the curtain system. \r\n"

      "reviewBody": "We stayed over the August bank holiday weekend, this is one of the busiest camping periods of the summer, I expected it to be a lot busier, but because they limit the amount of tents here it was very quiet and relaxed. We had plenty of room to enjoy ourselves. Fires are limited to fire pits, available along with the wood at the honesty shop, this is nice touch as there aren’t scorch marks all over the field from previous fires. Over all, a quiet, pretty campsite with a very relaxed atmosphere. Also, a lovely, hot shower in the bamboo lined outdoor cubicle was very nice. Would definitely come again."

      "reviewBody": "Nice quiet spacious site, giving us a peaceful and private camping experience.  We were able to purchase wood for camp shop (a tent) on site.  The one shower is large and warm and powerful enough to wake you up.  The wooden compost toilets were not far, one didn't have a step up so hard to use but cleaned regularly.  There were toilets in a tent like structure, think they had been there sometime so wasn't keen to use.  One tap on site for water but it's a back basics camp site experience so there's no washing up stations or sinks.  If you don'tind you'll enjoy this site very much.  We had a lovely time but would have liked more convenient toilet facilities."

      "reviewBody": "Our family of five had a lovely time at Glottenham. The family field is large, with plenty of space. Our kids enjoyed roaming around and exploring the woods and stream. Facilities are basic, with compositing loos and an outdoor shower (which was lovely and warm), it would have been great to have a covered area to do washing up etc.. but this is my only suggestion. Overall if you want a proper camping experience, surrounded by space, big skies and nature go here!  I was even lucky enough to see a barn owl too! "

      "reviewBody": "Our stay at glottenham castle was fantastic, just what we needed. Plenty of distance between campers, enough not to hear each other. Very pretty site with a stream flowing through and owls at night. Outdoor shower with an open roof means you can shower under the stars at night. Feeling happy and relaxed, would definitely recommend. "
