Maria was incredibly helpful throughout our stay, and this is a very friendly site. Facilities were very good and very clean and well maintained. Site itself is a good size relative to how many campers there were, so it does not feel crowded or packed and you feel like you have plenty of space, and it is surrounded by trees and nice views. Fire pits are available on site to borrow to have a campfire, and they even have a card reader so you can purchase wood on site if like me you never carry cash! Close to pubs, great place for kids to play, feels incredibly safe. We loved our time! We will definitely be back if we are in the area! We shared the field with 4 other groups/families and had so much space. The field was lush and green and enjoyed incredible views across the valley. The showers and toilets were cleaned multiple times per day, and were brilliantly maintained. Non-smelly composting loos, hot showers that stayed hot, and one of the nicest washing up areas we've found at a campsite recently (with hot water for washing up). My only slight quibble was that the \"dogs must be kept on leads\" rule didn't seem to be upheld, despite sounding quite strictly imposed on the T's and C's. There were two dogs who didn't go on a lead once whilst on site, and whilst they were well behaved and friendly, they were running around freely, sometimes with one another, and having a child with a really intense fear of dogs after a horrible experience - this did give us a few upsetting episodes. I'm a huge dog lover and am more than happy to camp on sites that allow dogs, but for my 6 year old, those dogs charging about enjoying the space was a bit too much.
