Had a great experience camping in my small 22ft RV for a long weekend here. Some highlights included wonderful star gazing with views of the Milky Way, strolling in the secluded creek with cold clear water for showers or an afternoon dip, community style meals with fresh fruits and vegetables straight from the garden on-site, campfires, music and interesting conversations. Patrick was a helpful and enthusiastic host and I really appreciated being given the opportunity to observe and learn about and even help with some of the duties and upkeep of the farm while I was there (totally optional!). Such a cool and unique experience and a nice break from the city life! I hope to be able to go back! If was definitely a cool adventure. Our host was awesome and happy to show us around. Several others welcomed us as well. My favorite part was when a random passing camper, headed to the kitchen greeted us with, “Welcome Home!” ❤️ My kids enjoyed the creek and catching and releasing huge bullfrogs by the pond at night. The frogs serenaded us at night and the rooster woke us in the morning. I loved the sounds of home but if you are a city person you may want to be prepared for that. I also enjoyed listening to other campers play live music in the evenings by starlight. I’m such a look at the sky type person and the night sky there did not disappoint. No light pollution leaves a spectacular view of the heavens. As an artist I loved exploring all the bus paintings too. I also felt at home around all the vegetables, fruits and herbs growing. I regret not going on the guided nature walk offered but I took many on my own with my little dog on her leash. I think everyone learned my dog’s name before mine as she doesn’t meet a stranger. It was great being able to bring her along and be welcomed like that. So many sweet souls at The Garden with good vibes. I hope to go back again in cooler temps with another set of friends that I think would appreciate the experience. I miss my new friend, Joy already. However, it looks like a junk yard when you pull in, NOTHING like the pictures, everything was rather unclean and the campsite had little to no privacy. \r\nThey say no drugs, very they are growing pot. If you are comfortable in commune living with little to no sanitation and zero cell reception for miles, this is your place. This is not a place for just anybody.
