> Human version: http://ssr-app-zpimxgrglq-uc.a.run.app/listings/campgrounds/freshwinds-camping-hastings-east-sussex

Welcome to our farm which is situated in an area of outstanding natural beauty in East Sussex\.On the farm we have cows, sheep, 3 pet pigs and 2 donkeys\.We would love to welcome you to our small secluded campsite which has 15 generously spaced pitches, and for the glampers amongst you we have 2 yurts, a shepherds hut and a tiny house, so please take a few minutes to check out our website\.If you like small quiet camp sites where you can have a campfire and enjoy the sights and sounds of the countryside then we are the site for you\.We pride ourselves in offering campers a taste of camping the way it used to be, you wont find any electric hook ups or club house here, nor will you be camping cheek and cowl next to the neighbour's tent\. What you will find in the bucket load is the joys of nature, listen to the birds, spot the rabbits or squirrels and at night listen to the owls and foxes and gaze at the star lit night as you sit by your campfire\.Our small campsite is in a secluded spot on the farm it is surrounded on two sides by a small stream, and woodland and fields on other half\.This camping field has a total of 15 pitches which include spaces in woodland glades and pitches in the field\.Campfires are allowed but we would ask that you use the same spot as previous campers as this will reduce the impact the fire will have on the local plant life, and provide more grazing for the sheep in the winter\. Please do not take any fallen logs from the wood as it will upset the ecological balance of the woodland\. Logs can be purchased for £5 a bag\.Weather permitting you will be able to drive to the field pitches to unpack but your car must be then driven to the car park\. Woodland glade pitches are only accessible by foot and a wheelbarrow is provided to help with transportation\.We will be pleased to welcome you to the farm anytime after 2pm on day of arrival\. FacilitiesWe have a large camp kitchen with a hot water sink for washing up, two compost toilets and two showers\. There is also wood to buy if you feel like having a camp fire\. At the farm \(5 min walk away\) we have a flush toilet, two electric showers and a lovely garden to have a stroll through\.RecyclingWe can now take all your rubbish but rest assurred everything that can be recycled will be by our waste collector\.PricesWe feel it is fairer to charge per person rather than per tent as they come in such a variety of sizes \(tents that is not campers\!\)So charges for 2014 are:Adult £10\.00 per nightChild aged 4\-16 £5\.00 per nightChild under 4 FreeSite RulesA few rules to keep everyone happy\.Please no wood foraging as this disturbs the wildlifeNo amplified music please\. It's fine to play acoustic instruments up until 10\.00 pm but no drumming groups\.No large groups of adults, we are primarily a family or couples siteSorry no pets\.Lambing TimeWhy not come and stay on the farm during lambing time, you will be able to see all the ewes and lambs playing in the fields around you\. Tim will be at work checking his flock throughout the day and taking ewes and their new lambs out of the barn into the field\. If you pick a quieter moment Tim or Anne may be able to take you into the lambing shed where you will get very close to new born lambs, maybe even watch a sheep giving birth and generally observe and feel a part of this wonderful season in the sheep farming calendar\. Past guests have also been able to help out with feeding the orphaned lambs on the bottle\.Our lambing season takes place during the first 3 weeks in April we look forward to welcoming you to the farm\. This activity is not recommended for pregnant women\.TipiWe have a Tipi in the camping field if you would like to rent it please let us know\. It costs £10 extra a night and sleeps 4\. It has a ground sheet and a wood burning stove\. A special treat not to be missed\!Shepherds HutThe Shepherd's Hut sleeps two comfortably and is furnished with a double bed, wood burning fire, table and chairs\.Outside the Shepherd's Hut:Fire pit for camp fireSeating and tableFree bag of logs on arrival, £5 per additional bagCompost toiletAt the farm:The farm is a two minute walk away and has a flush toilet, shower facilities, and a large sink for washing clothes or crockeryIt also includes:Bedding, duvets and pillows2 ring camping gas stoveGas and matchesPlates, dishes, cups, glasses and cutleryTin opener and bottle openerSharp knife, bread knife, chopping board sieveTea towelsWashing up bowel, dish clothCool bin with ice packs which can be changed dailyTea light lanternsTiny HouseOur Tiny House is just that, very cosy, at only 2\.4meters wide and 4\.5 meters long it has everything you need for a comfortable stay\.It has its own shower and dry toilet incorporated in the design, a small loft area is home to a double bed where you can chill out and take in the beautiful view of the surrounding country side through the dorma window\.
