I believed we had the elderberry spot which is the one closest to the waterfall, I think it's rec permit #1. Clint was welcoming and made sure we knew he's there if we need anything at anytime. If you correctly follow his directions he sends you and you feel like you're not going the right way, you probably are going the right way lol. Long drive through overgrown plants on the side till you get to the parking. It's a pretty drive, but we almost turned around because we thought we were going the wrong way. I would suggest a hipcamp sign with an arrow to let hipcampers know they're going in the right direction. The walk to the campsite isn't that long or bad from the parking, but we were backpacking so we had all of our stuff in our backpacks. Compost toilet was actually not bad. Was clean and even better than vault toilets I've used at campsites. It did get a little chilly at night which I expected. There is also a short trail nearby that leads to a pretty view. Kind host, big fire wood bundles, and a safe place to pee lol, no notes! Would camp here again. So beautiful and quiet, and nothing can beat that waterfall. \nYou do have to carry in your things down a fairly short nature trail, so prep for that, but it was so worth it. Would/will camp again.
