Drove Lea Farm is a quiet, family run, caravan and camping facility, which nestles in the beautiful Meon Valley, within the newly appointed conservation area of Titchfield Abbey, just to the north of the picturesque village of Titchfield, near Fareham, Hampshire and is ideally situated for Southampton and Portsmouth ferry ports, and ferries to the Isle of Wight\.Drove Lea is situated in 8 acres of level and part wooded farmland that is dedicated to camping and is open from the 1st of February until the 30th of November\. We offer Countryside Camping; no club houses, toilet blocks, shower blocks, restaurants or discos\. The site has electric hook ups available and the usual fresh water and waste disposal facilities\. All caravans and camping units will require their own toilet and washing facilities\. Pitch fees are kept to a very reasonable \- £8\.00 a night, per unit; electric hook ups extra – metered\. The site is well maintained and kept clean\.A variety of delicious Home\-Made Chutneys, made from our own fruit and vegetables, are available; as well as seasonal produce from the greenhouseDrove Lea is ideal for a quite country break or a stopover for the continent, with quick and easy access to the M27; both the ports of Portsmouth and Southampton are only 20 minutes drive\.Caravan and Camping FaciltiesCountryside Camping is exactly that; no club houses, toilet blocks, shower blocks, restaurants or discos\. All caravans and camping units will require their own toilet and washing facilities\. Pitch fees are kept to a very reasonable \- £8\.00 a night, per unit\. The site is well maintained and kept clean\.Facilities available are water, elsan disposal and electricity\. We currently have 40 card fed meter hook\-up points dispersed around the site, in order to ensure that all campers have a significant amount of space if required\. Ambience is available in abundance\.Dogs, and their owners are welcome, however we do ask that they are kept under control and any "accidents", cleaned up\.Real ale and real food are available from the Fishermans Rest: fresh eggs and local produce are available from the farm shop opposite the Fishermans RestFor the gardeners, a number of nurseries are within a couple of miles of the campsite\.Supermarkets are also located nearby, as is a good local mechanic\.Calor gas is also available from the farm\.If in doubt, or you have any questions, please ask\.Drove Lea FarmDrove Lea Farm dates from the late 1800's, and has seen diverse activities carried out on the farm\.Originally, part of the "Titchfield Abbey estate”, the farm contains a sink that is still linked to the original Abbey carp ponds, which supplied the monastery inhabitants with fresh fish\.The farm has been used as a strawberry farm for a considerable period, a dairy farm, complete with a local bottling facility, and a small local school\.About twenty five years ago, a small plant hire company was based here and the current caravan activity started about fifteen years ago\.The farm also hosts a woodchip, garden mulch and fire wood facility\.The farmhouse is now a family home\.Things To Do And SeeGood food and real aleWe do not have clubhouses, discos bars etc, but we do have traditional Countryside camping and Caravanning, however, real ale and real food is available from the Fisherman's Rest\.Local Walks and Titchfield EventsWithin walking distance is historic Titchfield Abbey, fishing lakes, a well\-stocked garden centre and finally, the charming village of Titchfield\. From the seventh century St\. Peter’s Church in Titchfield, a walk of approximately four miles will take you along the banks of the river Meon to the coast at Meon Shore, passing Titchfield Haven Nature Reserve\.Local FishingCarron Row is only a 2 minute walk away and has 5 Lakes\. Lakes 1,2 & 3 = carp, tench & mixed, Lake 4 mixed, general / match, Lake 5 is for stock\. Open throughout the year\.Historic DockyardPortsmouth, the flagship of Maritime England, is within half an hours drive\.
