It’s Harvest time, we picked Rhubarb, Red Raspberries that are huge, sweet and delicious, had fresh broccoli, cauliflower, lettuce so much produce to go with our fresh salmon we caught. Mel is a fantastic Hostess, she’s a fountain of local knowledge, assisted us with booking suggestion, best trails, restaurants, breweries, charters, and she knows everyone, glamping truly exposes you to more of the Best of a community from a locals view. The view is unbelievable. You can see the full mountain range and the Homer Spit right from the porch. It feels very private, set back away from the house and with a separate parking spot. The host family is so wonderful and they give you the perfect balance between respecting your privacy and being willing to give advice on things to do in the area. The location couldn't be better; it's right in the middle of town and less than 5 minutes down to the Homer Spit. The tent itself is super posh! They've got it hooked up with comfy beds and nice sheets and blankets, lighting, and lots of outlets. Even though it was summer and didn't get dark until well past midnight, it stayed nice and dark inside the tent to we could sleep in. Not much road noise at all that we noticed. We brought our kids and they loved playing in the yard and sleeping in the big tent. I wish we could have stayed longer!
