The site is set in a shrub\-steppe landscape of sagebrush and bunch grasses, surrounded by sparsely wooded hills\. Potable water is available throughout the campground via accessible hydrants with pull\-up pumps, and garbage dumpsters are provided\. The campground offers excellent opportunities for boating \(motorized and non\-motorized\), fishing, water skiing, hiking, wildlife viewing, bird watching, and scenic photography\.
