He was also incredibly responsive throughout our stay. The space was clean, and the bathroom was lovely—perfect for our family. I felt completely safe the entire time. The views from this site were absolutely gorgeous, especially watching the sunrise over the vineyards. At night, it was nice and dark, with a clear view of the stars. I would definitely stay here again. The price was very reasonable for the accomodations. I ended up staying in site #2, but was also able to check out site #1. Site #2 is a secluded shady spot nestled in the trees. Site #1 is on an open spot on the hilltop with views of the surrounding vineyards. There are water tanks on the center of the hill, but you can still get good views from the campsites. With both sites, you'll have to walk down to the tasting room to get to the bathroom. We could walk to several vineyards and only had to drive 10 minute to downtown Paso. The bathroom on site is clean and available after the vineyard tasting room closed for the evening. The location was quiet with only 2 other camper vans parked at night. Dark Star Cellars itself was a wonderful, laid back vineyard with friendly staff and great wine!
