It was hot when we arrived and there is nowhere shaded but the creek. The creek was full of mozzies which wasn't an issue so much as we and our dog couldn't really explore barefoot in the creek because there was loads of barbed wire to tread on!! Get your tetnus shot before going here!! Above the creek there were so many meat ants we couldn't even sit in chairs, and our dog was getting smashed with them and she escaped only by sitting in our van! So we left to find somewhere in town to chill but getting out the hill was almost too steep for our van to get out so we decided to not stay as we needed a quick getaway in the morning and with it forecast to rain knew that might not happen.
