We are proud to say that Crosslaw has been owned by the same family since 1963 through many generations, and continues to exceed both guests and clients expectations, whether staying with us for a short break, or as a holiday home owner\. There’s a safe children’s play area and tranquil woodland walks\. We have WiFi Internet access to keep you in touch with the office, update your social media pages with your holiday photos, or plan your next outing in the Borders and Northumberland\.FacilitiesNaturally both touring caravan and tent visitors to the campsite have access to the well\-maintained shower and toilet block, and all other luxury facilities on the site, such as the launderette which has commercial sized washing and drying machines, and a licensed lounge and bar which have games machines and a pool table\. Visitors to the campsite with tents have twelve well\-tended grass pitches, and like the touring caravan Super Pitches, also have 16\-amp hook\-up for electrical items\.The 2014 tariff for caravans is just £19\.50 per night, or £117 per week, on a luxury hard standing Super Pitch, which includes 16\-amp hook\-up, a standpipe for fresh water, drainage of grey water, and is inclusive of VAT\.The tariff for tents is only £18\.50 per night, or £111 per week, and includes a grass pitch, a 16 amp electrical hook\-up, and is inclusive of VAT\.A supplementary charge of £1 per person per night is charged for all touring visitors over the age of three\. For children under the age of three the supplementary charge is just 50p per night\. Crosslaw Park is a safe and family friendly environment, with a playground and lots of recreation space for children\.The Local AreaThe local region is awash with history and places of stunning natural beauty\. From the craggy shores of Berwickshire to the golden sandy World Heritage beaches of North Northumberland, and the crenelated silhouettes of Bamburgh, Lindisfarne and Alnwick castles: History is alive and vibrant right across the region\. For star gazers, the Northumberland National Park has a new observatory where the stars shine all the more brightly without the glare of light pollution at night; and through the day you can revel in the beauty of nature, bird and wildlife watching, walking, sailing or cycling\.An hour to the North of Crosslaw Park you will find the exquisite Georgian architecture and famous conviviality of the Scottish capital, Edinburgh\. An hour to the south, and you’ll discover the bright lights of the entertainment capital of the North East, Newcastle\. From the east end of Hadrian’s Wall at Walls end to the western end at Carlisle, this famous Roman boundary can be walked or cycled across its full length\. Punctuated by Roman fortresses and outposts, such as Vindolanda and Housesteads, the wall and its excavated ruins can be visited throughout the year\.
