Loved it.\r\n\r\nThe facilities made such a difference - kitchenette, mini fridge, sink, microwave, great good-sized bathroom, hot water and etc - all made for a great comfortable stay. It felt just like a hotel stay!\r\n\r\nThe place is very well located close to stonehenge and salisbury and there's lots of great restaurants and pubs, all of which makes for great evenings and lunches. We went to the Red lion freehouse that we would highly highly highly highly recommend for really good food. The onsite farm cafe too is amazing for lunches and pasties and pies.\r\n\r\nThe reason I'm not giving this full points is because we had a bit of a stressful hour when we reached there on friday evening - we could not reach the hosts since the morning, we'd missed an email about where the cabin was (and there was no signage as to where to go) and we went round and round in our car and felt a bit scared. Luckily someone was going through the venue and stopped to help us find the cabin. Next, since we missed an email on the door code, we were left outside feeling stressed while we tried reaching out to people to help. Fortunately, I managed to reach out to a florist next door who then contacted a family member of the hosts and we managed to get inside our cabin. Just to be clear, we had missed that email - it was sent but we did not see it and pay attention to it since it was sent weeks earlier. Nevertheless, it's not great to go to a place which is remote, in the middle of the woods, late evening, with a baby and my wife, and have no one on site or across the phone to help. The hut needed a good dust (round the windows, book shelves, in the kitchen drawers etc). The kitchen utensils needed a just few additional basics. The outside area would really benefit from some lighting for the evenings - or at least provide some candles for your lantern! As above, we had a great time and overall the hut is lovely - it’s just finishing touches - but you notice finishing touches when you’re paying top of the range!
