> Human version: http://ssr-app-zpimxgrglq-uc.a.run.app/listings/campgrounds/cae-gwyn-farm-nature-reserve-harlech-gwynedd

Cae Gwyn \('White Field'\) is a sheep farm in the south of Snowdonia National Park with a farming history dating back over 200 years\. Even to this day very little has changed over the centuries\. The only differences perhaps are that today we run the 135 acre hill farm using organic principles, and that Cae Gwyn now welcomes you to experience a close to nature holiday\.We offer bed and breakfast, camping, and camping barn facilities in an unspoilt natural environment\. Our aim is to offer flexible holiday opportunities to suit everyone, and whether you are here to enjoy mountain\-biking, walking, climbing, fishing, canoeing, reading novels, or simply just for the breath of fresh air, we hope you will be able to find your own ideal holiday at Cae Gwyn\.Our guests are invited to walk freely around the 135 acre farm and nature reserve\. The Nature reserve at Cae Gwyn is a designated SSSI \(Site of Special Scientific Interest\) for its rare flora, fauna, and other aquatic life, where you may find a hidden picnic spot next to the river on moss\-covered rocks\. Our streams and the SAC \(Special Area of Conservation\) designated river 'Afon Eden' is not only a home to one of the last breeding colonies of fresh water pearl mussels in Wales, but also to Atlantic salmon, otters, rainbow & brown trout and floating water\-plantain\. Being close to mountains, lakes, rivers and the sea, Cae Gwyn offers many possibilities for outdoor activities, rendering itself an excellent base for mountain\-biking, walking, fishing and canoeing\. For mountain bikers, we offer bike\-friendly accommodation and lock\-up/bike\-wash facilities\. As Cae Gwyn's southern land borders the Coed y Brenin forest, you can leave your car on the farm and ride out for the day, straight from a gate through the farmland leading directly to the MBR trail\. A short drive away \(30 minutes to 1 hour\) takes you to other popular mountain bike trails, including Gwydyr Forest in Betws y Coed, Nant\-yr\-Arian just inland from Aberystwyth and The Dyfy forest in Machynlleth\. For walkers, several public footpaths cross our land, providing one of the few close access points to the Rhinog range, one of which leads directly to the famous Roman Steps and the Cambrian Way\. We have walking itineraries around Cae Gwyn and Trawsfynydd \- please ask for more information if you wish to explore locally\.For fishing enthusiasts, we own the fishing rights of nearly 1 km of Afon Eden so you can enjoy fishing anywhere along the river on the farm at your leisure\. You may also want to test your skills of fry\-fishing at the lakes in Trawsfynydd or Bala\. The Mawddach river/estuary and the sea on the Cardigan Bay also provide popular fishing spots in the area\.For wheelchair users \- The 'Dairy' room in our ground floor B&B barn is suitable for wheelchair users and has an en\-suite bathroom which is large enough to use with a wheelchair\. This room, however, may not be suitable for wheelchair users with special needs so please ask for more details when booking\.DirectionsPlease DO NOT use postcode search on Google, Yahoo, etc\.as you will be taken to a wrong address\.If you are using satellite navigation please ONLY use the coordinates in the format below:Format: h ddd\.dddddCo\-ordinates:N52\.85005W3\.91084Please ensure that you also print out the directions on this page, and in case you have arrived at the gate with a sign 'Glanllynau Duon', please do not proceed further but go back to the main road \(A470\) and travel 0\.5 mile to the south whereCae Gwyn Farm is visible from the road\.
