James' Place is edged by woods on one side, views of Puget Sound and the Cascade mountains on another, and only two miles from downtown Oak Harbor\. Enjoy the sunrise, a resident eagle pair, owls, hummingbirds and loads of blackberries when in season\. Our house is about 50 feet away from the spot, but we're rather quiet and don't leave any bright lights on at night\. We're typically working in the garden, bicycle riding or walking with the dog\. It's a quiet spot for the most part\. Note that when the Navy jets are practicing, we can hear them \(they practice on sporadic weekdays, they don't generally practice on weekends\)\. There is a 15A outlet approximately 25' from the parking pad for electricity hookup\. Suggested Local Attractions:We'd be happy to share information on bicycling routes, nearby beach walks, local farm stands and restaurant recommendations\. There are 10 State Parks within a few miles, the best known being Deception Pass State Park\.
