The start of the Niagara wine trail is a few miles away\. Becker's Farm offers winery, brewery, apple and berry picking in season as well as pumpkins and activities for children\. City of Lockport has working locks on the Erie canal, a boat tour on canal which includes going through the locks\. There is also a zipline across the canal\. Some interesting museums depicting the history of the canal, and a cave tour\. Iroquois wildlife refuge is just up the road and has hiking trails as well as bodies of water for kayaks and canoes\. It is a popular spot for bird watchers and wildlife enthusiasts
