Colorado City, AZ \(is only 12 miles away and is a one\-of\-a\-kind community with wonderful, but not very well\-known hiking trails like Water Canyon nearby\)\. Pipe Springs National Monument \(29 miles\) is another wonderful location to learn about local native culture and early pioneer history of this area\.
