Despite being just off the road, you could barely tell over all the beautiful, lush foliage and the waterfall from the dam. There is a gas station about ten or so minutes down the road, which is convenient if you forgot something like firewood or need more ice. Laura was kind and understanding when we were late because of a medical problem, as well as when I kept calling because I was getting lost. She is a charismatic host.\n\nMy partner spent most of his time fishing, and he caught three sizeable bass, all over 10 inches. The area is rich with wildlife, so many interesting insects and birds to see. It's a beautiful little pocket of nature.
