> Human version: https://campertunity.com/listings/campgrounds/belle-tents-camping-camelford-cornwall

Relax and unwind in our beautiful, fully furnished Belle Tents here in North Cornwall on our small private site with campfire, barbeque area and chill\-out tent\.The campsite is arranged into three separate family camps, each with two bedroom tents and a fully equipped kitchen tent\. They are sited on their own lawn area bordered with shrubs and flower beds, so are a bit like a holiday cottage \- only without the cottage\.The bedroom tents each have beds, duvets and pillows for two people, however the larger tents are roomy enough for extra people if you bring sleeping bags/bedding allowing up to to six people per camp\.Or why not get a group of friends together and hire the whole site exclusively for yourselves\. So far we have welcomed birthday parties, hen and stag weekends and even a wedding celebration\.The site can accommodate up to a maximum of 17 people and can be booked for short stays throughout the season\.We also offer a discounted price for whole site weekly bookings \- good for families who wish to holiday together\. The CampsCAMP 1 \- Suitable for up to 5 people\.14' tent with double bed, and a 12' tent with twin beds \+ kitchen tent\. CAMP 2 \- Suitable for up to 6 people\.14' tent with double bed, and a 14' tent with twin beds \+ kitchen tent\. CAMP 3 \- Suitable for up to 6 people\.16' tent with double bed, and a 12' tent with twin beds \+ kitchen tent\. The TentsThe Bedroom Tents have carpeted wooden floors, real beds, rugs & wall linings, chest of drawers, bedside tables, tea\-lanterns and solar light\.There are beds for two people in each tent with duvets, pillows and blankets but please bring your own linen\. If you are bringing extra people, we do have spare foam mattresses and a travel cot so please indicate on the booking form if you would like to reserve any\.The Kitchen Tents have their own stand\-pipe and, as all the water here is from a bore\-hole, it tastes delicious\. The kitchens are fully equipped for up to six people with pans, crockery and utensils, gas hob and fridge, storage boxes, tables and chairs, solar light \- in other words everything you would need to cook up a gourmet meal\.The 'Bar' And Recreation Tent for social gatherings, bring your own wine or beer\. There is a woodburner, fridge/freezer for drinks, powered speakers for Mp3 players etc plus power points for mobile phones\. The tent is also nice to be in during wet days for playing our collection of board games or thrashing your friends on our original 1970's football table\. Wanted: the footie table takes the old, large 10p \- or 2 shilling \- pieces\. We had about £5 worth to start with but many have got lost, so if you have any in the back of a cupboard you would like to donate to us we would be very grateful\.On\-Site FacilitiesThe Showers & Toilets are in a purpose built building supplied with Ecover hand soap, hand towels and hair\-dryer\. There is a further shower and toilet in our nearby workshop which also has a washing machine and drying lines\.On the outside of the shower building is a covered washing up area with Ecover washing up liquid\.The campfire and barbeque area is a great place to sit of an evening, tell stories and gaze at the stars\. The fully equipped covered barbeque is wood fired \- so you don't need to bring charcoal \- and can even be used in rainy weather\. Wood is provided for the campfire, barbeque and woodburner in the 'bar' tent\.If you want to make sitting around the campfire really special, then try Mystical Fire which will transform the fire into dancing flames of vibrant colours\.There is an additional field that is planted with bamboos and huge grasses with paths to wander round plus a green space with a badminton net and football goal\. Our own hens also live in the field giving us lovely fresh eggs \- so please don't bring eggs with you\.We are sorry but for various reasons we cannot allow dogs on site\. However there are kennels about 3 miles away at Collans Cross\.Local AreaBelle Tents Camping is sited in our grounds at Owls Gate in the parish of Davidstow, \- home to Davidstow Cheese\.Although Owls Gate has an off\-the\-beaten\-track feel, we are only 5 minutes from the A39 Atlantic Highway giving access to the whole of the North Cornwall coast\. We are 6 miles from Boscastle with it's famous harbour, Valency Valley and Witches Museum and 7 miles from Tintagel, home of King Arthur's Castle\.The town of Camelford is 4 miles and has small shops, including a Co\-op, leisure centre and museum\. There are a various takeaways and couple of good pubs for food and also a farm shop selling local and organic produce\.The CoastTo fully experience the breathtaking scenery of this beautiful part of North Cornwall, a walk on the coastal footpath is a must\. Between Boscastle and Tintagel is the beautiful Rocky Valley where a footpath passes through an old mill with an ancient maze carved into the rockface and then follows a river with waterfalls winding down to the sea\. The valley can also be reached from a lay\-by on the Boscastle to Tintagel road\.Most of the North Cornwall coast is great for surfing, you can hire surfing equipment or book surf lessons at most of the beaches\. Many of the beaches are tidal so care needs to be taken, although most do have tidal notices and a lifeguard\.Our favourite nearby beaches with car parks are at Trebarwith strand, Crackington Haven and Widemouth Bay \- which also has one of the best wet fish shops in the area\. There are lesser known coves with beaches that are only reached by hiking down the coastal footpath, but the effort can be very rewarding\. They generally do not have lifeguards and are only accessable at low tide, so it is important to check the tides before setting off\. The best ones locally are Bossiney Cove and Benoath Cove near Tintagel and Tregardock Cove at Treligga, near Delabole\.Bodmin MoorBodmin Moor is fantastic for walking and the high tors of Roughtor and Brown Willy are accessable direct from the site via a Cornish sunken lane that starts at the corner of our property and emerges onto the well known Davidstow Moor Airfield which boasts two museums, The RAF Memorial Museum and The Davidstow and Cornwall at War Museum\.Roughtor is the site of the famous murder in 1844 of Charlotte Dymond, who is buried in Davidstow Churchyard, and which inspired Charles Causley to write The Ballad Of Charlotte Dymond\.Bowithick is a nearby secret beauty spot on Bodmin Moor with small idyllic streams and swimming holes, great for picnics with young children\. After a morning splashing about in the stream or hiking up Bray Down, you can lunch at The Rising Sun, a true moorland pub near Altarnun\.Recommended Visitor AttractionsThose of our guests who have visited the Tamar Otter and Wildlife Centre near Launceston have all reported having a wonderful day out\.Also in Launceston, you can take a ride on the Launceston Steam Railway at the end of which is New Mills Farm Park which has indoor and outdoor play areas plus lots of animals to pet\.For something a little different, how about Bodmin Jail where Matthew Weeks was tried and hung for the the murder of Charlotte Dymond\.Bodmin is also the start of the famous Camel Trail which follows a disused railway track to Wadebridge and on to Padstow\. Bicycles can be hired at all three places\.Gardens & HousesPencarrow House & gardens near Bodmin is a 50 room Georgian mansion set in 50 acres of parkland, lake & woodland\.Lanhydrock House, also near Bodmin, is a fabulous National Trust property with 1,000 acres of wooded parkland\.Prideaux Place near Padstow is a beautiful Elizabethan mansion sitting on the hill above the busy harbour of Padstow and the grounds boast some of the finest views over its ancient Deer Park and the Camel Estuary to Rock and Bodmin Moor beyond\.The Eden Project is approximately a 50 minutes drive and as well as the wonderful biomes hold various events throughout the year\.
