The third peninsula (the lowest, closest to US-212) has a fee campground, Rocky Point, along with a dump station that costs $15.00 to use if you’re not staying there. Susie Peak Rd, which is the road leading to these two free, dispersed peninsulas, is hard packed dirt and gravel, suitable for any vehicle. It does get washboarded in areas. During the summer, temperatures here get hot, typically into the 90s and 100s. Many previously-used campsites have a few trees, but none offer any shade from the sun. The drive into downtown Belle Fourche, SD is an 11.3 mile drive.
