We enjoyed the seclusion of our (Bush Break campsite) and weren’t bothered by the scrutiny of the Poled Herefords who took a minimal interest in our intrusion.\nThe host, Ashleigh, provided us with detailed directions to the property and the campsite, the site had been well chosen and only a short drive to the creek to obtain water. We were blessed with warm sunny days during our stay, although if it had rained it would’ve been of little consequence due to the tranquillity of the location.\nThe property is a 10-minute drive from Benambra, where we met the friendly publican and staff at the Benambra Hotel. The General store is worth a visit and the owners were up for a chat and information as to sites to visit nearby. Also close by is Taylors Crossing, a great swimming hole on the Mitta Mitta River and only a 30-minute drive. You can also take a similar timed route to Hinnomunjie Bridge on the Mitta Mitta River, although access to the water is limited.\nThere is plenty to see and do around the area if you enquire and go exploring, a great location for a family getaway and a welcoming host with a beautiful property.
